Building the Future – NeoCity One

After having build two tables of scenery from scratch – one in cardboard and the other in balsa wood, I decided it was finally time to go pro and buy some quality MDF terrain. My eye was of course on venders such as Micro Arts Studio, Plasma terrain and others – but after looking around…

War of the Worlds

War of the Worlds @Ibuywargames, Woking So this was going to be a long day of Infinity!  Waking up at 5:00 and in the train for 6:30 – me and Chris Hobday my follow Kentish Rogue fueled up on Starbuck’s coffee and bacon butties and prepared for the 4 round TAG Line event.  It really…

Showdown at Hydra

So what’s a Showdown you ask? A Showdown ITS tournament is a one round tournament where everyone plays a single mission. The winner is of course the person with the Highest Tournament Points (3 for a Full Win) and then the highest Objective Points which usually breaks any ties! They are a great way to add a little bit of edge to your gaming nights in your local group or at your friendly local games store (FLGS) and have that added bonus (or not!) of gaining some ITS rankings!)

Totally Crit 9

Totally Crit 9 – Bat Rep @ Hydra Gaming Club, High Broom/Tonbridge, Kent, UK A great tournament with an excellent turn out of 20 players.  This was my third Totally Crit and it wasn’t going to disappoint.  There were 11 great looking tables – most from the local Hydra Gaming Club, but quite a few…

Sunday Infinity

Had a good friend Richard Heales over for some Sunday Infinity!  Decided to experiment with a video log/BatRep.  Not a full video but more they highlights.  This was all done on an iPhone 6S and came out remarkably well (including my dog Sasha in the background!).  Might try next time for a full/realtime BatRep!

Reports from the Front -Bikers and Ninjas

Learning to play a new style of list or a new faction can sometimes be a painful process!  It’s easy sometimes to pick up that winning Haramaki link team list – but this time I thought I would take a leap into the unknown! So I took these two very different lists to the Reports…

Building an Infinity Table

One of the problems with getting into Infinity and playing the game can be the simple issue of scenery!  Every Infinity player will tell you that construction of the table is the most important part of getting a great game.  Too open and every time you move you’ll be ARO’d by multiple units.  Too close and…

Twisted Cauldron ITS 400

Twisted Cauldron ITS 400 So we had a small ITS tournament at the Twisted Cauldron, Folkestone, Kent on Saturday the 15th October, so I thought I’d write up the standard Bat Rep, but also take time to give a shout out for our FLGS! The Twisted Cauldron is our Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS!) run…

Intel File: Keisotsu-Butai

Intel File: Keisotsu-Butai To appease the growing unrest in Japan, the Yu-Jing Emperor passed a decree allowing for the formation of Japanese only regiments – the Keisotsu Butai.  These regiments had their own culture and uniforms and were allowed to speak Japanese.  The dream of a greater identity for the second class Japanese citizens was soon undermined…

Intel File: Shinobu Kitsune – The Constant Gardener

Intel File: Shinobu Kitsune – The Constant Gardener …is Shinobu Kitsune real, or is she just a myth?  Only the very best of the Ninja clans are selected to become the feared Oniwanibans.  Oniwaniban means “the one in the garden’ and was given during the Tukugawa shogunate to the shogun’s personal gardener at his service…

Short Story: The Art of War

A short piece of 1st person narrative fiction based on an Operation Flame Strike Campaign. An eerie twilight reached out across the spaceport at Tianxian as the yellow G-Type star orbiting Paridiso finally dipped below the horizon. A ripple of lights radiated outwards from the central spaceport complex illuminating the complex with the blue tint of powerful LEDs…
